Public Transport


You need a valid ticket to travel by public transport. Tickets for trams and buses can be purchased in Kiosks (little shops with newspapers and cigarettes), on ticket machines on some of the tram stops, and, with a surcharge, from the driver.

Ticket prices:
single-trip ticket (without interchange) 2,50 PL
one-hour ticket 3,10 PLN
24-hour ticket 10,40 PLN
48-hour ticket 18,80 PLN
72-hour ticket 25,00 PLN.

Tickets must be validate (stamped) as soon as you get into the vehicle. You don't need an extra ticket for the luggage.


You can buy ticket for the shuttle train to the airport on the Main Railway Station or in the train. Shuttles depart from the platform 1 on the Main Railway Station (Dworzec Główny).

Ticket fare: 6 zl.
Travel time: app. 15 min.

The Kraków-Balice Station is located app. 200 m from the passenger terminal, you can get there by foot (around 5 min. walk) or take a free shuttle bus service which operates to and from Kraków-Balice Station, this is a 3 minute trip from the airport terminal building.
